William's operation

The operation to reconstruct my sons arm occurred on Thursday. I have uploaded the xrays to show.. anyone who is interested? There is more to this story but I should get some lunch and back to the hospital so I will just leave the photos for now.

I hope he's allright by now - there are so many x-ray photos for a boy of his age...
re: St. Nicholaus, here's my explanation:
----

december 6th was the day when St Nicholas of Myra, a bishop was buried in Russia around 350. (not in 1350, in plain 350)
St Nicholas, whose name was turned into Santa Claus worldwide, but especially in the English speaking countries, was a high priest who tried to follow Jesus's example by helping poor country people with food.
At one recorded example he put lots of golden coins into the window of a poor family so that the girls were able to live and get married properly. otherwise, one of the girl would have been sent to a brothel to become a prostitute. basically, the bishop saved the girls's honor by giving them the money. he always did what he did at night, he wanted to remain anonymous.
that is the root of the tradition.
children put their shoes into the window, but they never get to see when St. Nicholas visits them.
